Hyper Melanistic Blue Tongue Skink

Hyper Melanistic Blue Tongue Skink are the result of a colour mutation which causes excessive dark pigment production (melanin) in the animals skin. Hyper melanistic, or black blue tongues are almost jet black all over with dark black eyes. They are highly sought after in the reptile hobby and we have a limited number of these unique animals available from time to time. A great first pet reptile for beginners and children. Blue tongue lizards are highly interactive and interesting to watch. They are omnivorous, feeding on a range of live insects, fruits, vegetables and formulated lizard pellets. Blue tongue lizards can live for up to 15-20 years in captivity.
