The Sambava panther chameleon is a distinct local form of the panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis), native to the Sambava region of Madagascar. Known for their vibrant, rainbow-like colors, especially reds, yellows, and greens, and an inconsistent, often “erratic” bar structure, these chameleons are highly prized by enthusiasts. They require specific, hot basking spots and tall cages, but are generally considered one of the more manageable panther chameleon species for captivity.
